Gates open: 11am .
Our first Saturday of the 2024 winter season so look your best in smart, comfortable casual wear but remember it is an outdoor event and is weather dependent. There are undercover areas for all facilities but the car parks.
As an outdoor sports event there maybe changes to what is available and the timing of events. Read the Ts and Cs of entry in the About Section.
Transport and Car Parking:
Car parking at the course is free.
There will be free return raceday buses from Whangarei with pick up times to be finalised once race times are confirmed. Pick up points are Kamo Club; Kamo Hotel; Kensington Tavern; Rose Street Bus Terminal; The Judge House of Ale. Other pick up points can be arranged for large groups by contacting the office.
Food, Beverages and Betting Operations
Bars, Bayview Cafe, Blossoms & Shade Coffee van and betting operations will be open from 11.30am. Betting on the TAB NZ App is welcome and the Club receives the same rate of commission as betting with an operator.
Indoor/Outdoor Options
Choose your spot .. ..on the lawn hill, on the seats in the shade of the grandstand roof. The Beachside Bar is open to the public today.
Eftpos will be available from selected betting windows and bars but there is no credit card facilities.
The Ruakaka Racecourse is a NO BYO Alcohol venue.
