Gates open: 11am .
Come dressed in relaxed mid-week casual wear but remember it is an outdoor event and is weather dependent. There are under-cover areas available for all facilities excepting car parks.
As an outdoor sports events there maybe changes to what is available and the timing of events. Read the Ts and Cs of entry in the About Section.
Transport and Car Parking:
Car parking at the course is free.
There will be free return raceday buses from Whangarei with bus pick up times to be finalised once race times are confirmed. Pick up points are Kamo Club; Kamo Hotel; Kensington Tavern; Rose Street Bus Terminal; The Judge House of Ale. Other pick up points can be arranged for large groups by contacting the office.
Food, Beverages and Betting Operations
Bars, Bayview Cafe, Blossoms & Shade Coffee van and betting operations will be open from 11.30am. Betting on the TAB NZ App is welcome and the Club receives a commission at the same rate as betting with an operator.
Indoor/Outdoor Options
Choose your spot .. ..on the lawn hill, on the seats in the shade/cover of the grandstand roof or in one of the function rooms open for the public..all with no charge.
Eftpos will be available from selected betting windows and bars but there is no credit card facilities.
The Ruakaka Racecourse is a NO BYO Alcohol venue. Full terms and conditions of entry are detailed in the ABOUT SECTION of this website.

Lion Red Pubs & Clubs Punters Challenge
The Lion Red Pubs & Clubs Punters Challenge has been a significant event for the aligned clubs & pubs throughout Northland and occurs at the mid-week May meeting each year at Ruakaka Racecourse.
The competition is limited to 20 teams made up of 4-6 members who have registered the team with the Club as per the details in the PDF document. Click on the link to read or print.
