The first Saturday meeting of the Ruakaka winter season always attracts quality runners and many of the local businesses are pleased to mix a social and business afternoon of fun and hospitality. If you are local business owner or operator see below for all the details.

Just want to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of racing at Ruakaka's scenic coastal location? Your welcome with free entry and no car parking costs. Even better you can ditch the driving and catch the free return Whangarei raceday bus. By early afternoon on Wednesday 8 June, we will load the race and bus times.

Even better, still become a Member of the Club for just $50 and with two passes that provides access to the Sunline Bar and deck plus the Members' Lounge with two free race books every meeting.

Be in the draw for Bream Bay Businesses to win one of the race names on the opening Saturday of Ruakaka’s winter racing season in 2022. Every business that enters can join in the hospitality on the day.

Raffle Draw of Race names – Saturday 11 June

Win Both Business Exposure and a Hospitality Package

Each business is invited to attend the lucky draw for the eight prizes of a race name and reserved table with hospitality at the 11 June race meeting. The draw will take place on or about Thursday 12 May after close of business at a Bream Bay venue to be determined.

Prizes are drawn in reverse order of the stake money allocated to each race – there are 2 x $35,000; 5 x $30,000; and 1 x $15,000 valued races.

With the raffle draw a month prior to the event, each business will have ample time to plan for the day and invite guests if they have won a hospitality table. All businesses, subject to final numbers, can buy additional tickets if they wish to build the numbers in their group.

This has been common practice in previous years as we can cater for 120 seated guests in the Bonecrusher and Surfbreak Lounges with elevated viewing of the races.

Everyone gets to celebrate with lunch and hospitality in the function rooms on the raceday with a minimum of two guests per business PLUS the eight prize winning teams receive significant promotional benefits. Full details of prizes and entry by clicking on the PDF at the top of the page.

Each business race name receives national promotion through Trackside television and the racing and betting media outlets.
